The eggs that are now being recalled due to salmonella aren’t going to be destroyed like you would think. They will be pasteurized until the offending bacteria are dead, then reused in cookies, cakes and as other egg products you will commonly find in a supermarket.

Wednesday Evening Cookies does not, never has and never will use eggs or egg products. It’s not even a question. Even if these eggs weren’t tainted with salmonella, the argument that exploiting chickens for egg production is more humane than killing them for meat is moot. Degrading the quality of life of an animal is inexcuseable and not preferable to death. Abolitionism, peeps, that’s what I’m explaining here.
